Webcomic Update <3

Wed Jul 8, 2009, 5:54 PM
Check out a new @tavicat comic online every Tues. and Thurs.

I feel bad I haven't posted here much~ XD I've been mostly busy with the new webcomic we're making to upload every Tues. and Thurs. called @tavicat. We went to Anime Expo for 2 days at the LA convention Center last weekend and had a blast meeting up with some friends and just hanging out in general. I really hope to get a table in artist alley next year~! I miss having a table there and there's so many new fantastic artists out there now I'd love to meet. ^___^ 2 days wasn't enough =( but, we just didn't have the funds this year to keep paying fpr the evil 12.00 parking each day...boo... Best news is (yay~!) we got officially invited to Anime Weekend Atlanta in Sept. while there~ thanks so much Stan~! XD I'll post more updates for that when it gets closer to the date.

Anyhoo~ enjoy our new webcomic everyone ^_____^ OH~! And we'll be at SDCC for all 4 days~ so everyone going please look for us~!

Woah. I'm surprised to have found you on DA.
Shutterbox has to be my favorite manga. Peroid. Shutterbox is quite unlike anything else I have ever read, and I mean that in the most positive way possible. Perhaps you can understand why I'm surprised: finding you is a wonderful little slice of surreality that the internet doles out on rare occasions.
I wish you the absolute best of luck, as you seem (from what I read on here and your site) to be having some publishing woes, and I look forward to your webcomic. I hope you don't mind (another) rather enthusiastic watcher. =3

What sort of pens and such do you generally use for your manga art?

Hello~! The pens I use mostly for my basic pen and ink work are pigma Micron by Sakura and for very fine detailed inking I use HI-TEC-C ( 0.25 ) by Pilot. Thank you

Have you worked with Copic markers? If so, what do you think of them? And are they fairly easy to use?

Thanks!

Hello~! I'm more a watercolor person ^^ so no, I'm sorry, I haven't worked with copic markers to render much more than detailed accents. For non CG traditional coloring, I mostly use watercolors and color inks and pencils. =)
